Boyd Taylor is a Texas novelist and writer whose fiction draws on the people, politics, institutions, and distinctive character of his home state.
His novels include the Donnie Ray Cuinn series, which follows an unconventional Texas lawyer through cases and conflicts that mix courtroom drama, politics, humor, and the complications of everyday life. His other writing includes fiction, memoir, essays, and works reflecting his long experience of Texas life.
Before turning seriously to writing, Taylor pursued a career in law and business. Those experiences, together with a lifelong interest in history, politics, and the law, provide much of the background for his fiction.
Taylor lives in Austin, Texas and continues to write.
