A.L. Bell

A.L. Bell - (Alison Linda Bell) - was born in May 1978 in Taplow, Buckinghamshire. She grew up in the village of Stoke Poges, and she would often walk to the enchanting local woods which would inspire her imagination in music, story writing and illustration.

After her father's Science career took the family to Yorkshire, she studied music in York, and then music therapy in Cambridge. Inspired to study performing arts, she returned to the south for an advanced diploma in acting at London School of Dramatic Art, after which she toured as an actor with Riding Lights Theatre Company in 2009 and Covenant Players Theatre Company in 2010, touring Germany, Austria and Switzerland to perform plays in both English and German.

These inspiring and adventurous experiences contributed largely to her folk fantasy novels:
