Thank you for your time and consideration in reading about "The Million Dollar Race".
Are you in career transition or thinking about another kind of job?
Being out of work a few years ago with a family to feed and care for was one of the most frightening and stressful experiences of my life. From the moment I was able to land my next job, I made the decision to dedicate the rest of my professional career to helping others through this remarkable challenge and not only find a job, but one they really love.
I have led an intriguing career as a "talent architect" for over 15 years working with major corporations including BP, Motorola, Prudential Financial and several national retailers as a consultant for two international firms. My role has been to help organizations design and implement the processes and software systems by which they select, develop, and promote their top talent.
Based on this rich experience, I have found that most experienced job candidates who are returning to the workforce are not prepared for the "new order" of technology and social networking that drive over 70% of all hiring decisions. Without this vital information, job candidates are wasting precious time using job sourcing and interview approaches that are woefully outdated.
I wrote the The Million Dollar Race to "level the playing field" by assuring that all job candidates are prepared to enter this remarkably challenging job market with the most effective and up-to-date insights how the race is run from the inside out.
In addition to my life as an author and consultant, I am a Hospice volunteer and Restoration Steward for The Nature Conservancy at Nachusa Grasslands. I live in Sycamore, Illinois with my astoundingly beautiful wife, Katie and two cats.
