Christi Hockersmith grew up in a small town in western Kansas. After marrying Shawn Kari, they lived in Colorado, and then southern California. After twenty-nine years of marriage, they continue to reside in Victorville, California, with their two children, Alexis (15) and Jesse (13), and their many pets.
On the Other Side of the Glass is Kari's first work of fiction. She says that what makes it most interesting is that it is a result of the answers in a survey she gave to around twenty people of all different ages, beliefs, and backgrounds. Their opinions about God, Heaven, hell, Jesus, and Satan can be summed up in this intriguing, spiritual, fiction novel. Read it for yourself and see if you agree with Jim, Marilyn, and Cindy who thought is was thought-provoking, as well as other readers who said they couldn't put it down!
Recently launched, The Boy Named Lucifer is Kari's second spiritual fiction novel. Set in the '70's, it is about the struggles little Lucifer deals with as he is ostracized both at school, and in his community, all because of his name. Finally, at four years old, during one of his frequent visits to the coat closet where he is often locked away, a spider with the voice of God keeps him company. Through the years, the Voice visits him in various forms as he endures abuse at the hands of his father, a satanist. See what happens as this courageous child becomes a man.
