Masaya Yamaguchi

Masaya Yamaguchi (born July 18 1970) is a musician and educator residing in Manhattan, New York City. Since moving to New York in 1996, Masaya has been active as an author, guitarist and educator in and around New York City. Masaya Yamaguchi became the first native Japanese to complete the master's program in Jazz Performance at the City College of New York (M.A. 1999). Regarding his first work The Complete Thesaurus of Musical Scales, Jazz Education Journal wrote, "It's worth mentioning that this book comprehensively covers all theoretical possibilities in constructing scales (July-August 2002)."
