Ingrid Kraus

Ingrid Kraus is a psychologist and writer living in the mountains of North Carolina. Her first novel, The Red Leather Chair, has won praise from her readers who say it is really hard to put down. They find the characters ring true, and the plot is highly compelling.

Ingrid was raised in the Deep South by progressive parents who escaped persecution from Hitler. The humor, preciousness and evanescence of life and love are, therefore, frequent themes in her work as are the rash judgments and easy hatreds people espouse.

Her hope in writing is to capture her readers for a few hours in a new world that they find reminds them of themselves, their loved ones and their own lives.
