Jeff Ovall

A prolific writer whose interests include science fiction, thrillers, and current events, Jeff's stories appeal to young and old alike, especially to those with stout hearts and adventurous spirits.

After retiring from 26-years active duty in the United States Coast Guard, he's continued to grow in the literary field. His short story, The Rocking Chair, won first place in a national Otherworlds Sci-Fi short story contest. His first novel, Chronicles of the HEDGE, received 5-star reviews on Amazon.com.

In a review of his novelette, The Man Who Saved Christmas, Deborah Tompkins Johnson of The Potomac News - Manassas Journal Messenger, wrote, the "author has taken the debate over Christmas decorations - the nativity in particular, and other religious symbols like the cross and the Star of David - and uses wit, shock and even a bit of humor to register his stance in the debate."

Jeff and his wife, Debra, of 39 years, have two grown children and five grandchildren, all of whom reside in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
