Laura Markowitz

Laura Markowitz is a journalist, editor and multimedia producer in Tucson, Arizona, and winner of a National Magazine Award for writing. Her most recent book is Facing the White Shadow. She started her career in magazines, covering systems change, family therapy, and psychology. She has been Contributing Producer for Arizona Public Media since 2009, producing series and features for Southern Arizona's NPR and PBS affiliates. She served as Pima County Library's writer in residence in 2024.
