Thomas G. Lang Ph.D.

I specialize in fluid dynamic R&D, and have degrees from Caltech, USC, and a Ph.D. from Penn State U. that led to over 80 technical papers and 30 patents on advanced marine vessels. I received the Intersociety Pioneer Award for SWATH Ships, SNAME's David W. Taylor Medal, and others. I worked at a Navy Lab in Southern California where I initiated and headed the Advanced Concepts Division. In 1978, I retired early to form a corporation based on my patents. This corporation had contracts with British Shipbuilders, various American corporations, DARPA, and the U.S. Navy. I also consulted for the Stars and Stripes team that retrieved The America's Cup from Australia in 1987; I managed their model tests, and designed a drag-reducing "riblet" coating. I reside in Southern California where I work on fluid dynamics and physics. I have recently self published three books on a new unified theory of physics that resulted from a spare-time activity that started in 1950 at age 21, two years after graduating from Caltech.
