Marian Armstrong's brother Michael was killed in the attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Musings of a Mystery Sibling is a fictional work that is drawn from her real-life experiences with sibling loss.
Armstrong began a career in publishing with Charles Scribner's Sons Children's Books, an imprint at Macmillan, in 1990. She later joined Marshall Cavendish as a reference editor of encyclopedias for elementary and high school students.
Musings of a Mystery Sibling, her first novel, placed in the top 2% of more than 500 entrants in the Mainstream Fiction category in the 19th Annual Writer's Digest Self-Published Book Awards.
She lives with her family in New York's Lower Hudson Valley and is pecking away at a second novel.
