Peter Levitan

Peter Levitan lives in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. His career spans forty years in advertising, publishing, and technology.

He ran major Fortune 500 accounts at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising in New York and London, bought and sold three agencies of his own, went all-in on digital news in 1995 as CEO of New Jersey Online for Advance Publications, and founded ActiveBuddy, the conversational-AI company behind SmarterChild, later sold to Microsoft.

He is the author of How to Build a Kick-Ass Advertising Agency, The Levitan Pitch, Boomercide: From Woodstock to Suicide, and two photography books on the early days of legal cannabis. He consults for advertising agencies through Peter Levitan & Co., writes about business development, and shoots a Widelux panoramic film camera.
