G. David Nordley

G. David Nordley is the pen name of Gerald D. Nordley, an astronautical engineer whose second career is writing. His main interest is the future of human exploration and settlement of space, with stories typically focusing on the dramatic aspects of individual lives within the broad sweep of a plausible human future in science fiction stories. G. David Nordley has been Author Guest of Honor SiliCon and Science Author Guest of honer at the Minneapolis MarsCon.

He is a four-time winner of AnLab, the Analog reader's award for best story or article of the year, and a past Hugo and Nebula award nominee for "Into the Miranda Rift".

His books include The Black Hole Project, co-written with C. Sanford Lowe, and To Climb a Flat Mountain as well as the collections After the Vikings, Among the Stars, Prelude to Stars, Around Alien Stars, and A World Beneath the Stars.
