Rose Hunter

Rose Hunter is the author of BODY SHELL GIRL (Spinifex Press, 2022), a memoir in verse that tells the story of the first two years of ten she spent in the sex industry in Canada.

She is also the author of five previous books of poetry: ANCHORAGE (Haverthorn Press 2020); GLASS (Five Islands Press 2017); YOU AS POETRY (Texture Press 2013); [FOUR PATHS] (Texture Press 2012), and TO THE RIVER (Artistically Declined Press 2010), as well as two chapbooks, DESCANSOS (dancing girl press 2015), and FISH AND FEATHERS (dancing girl press 2017).

Her poetry has appeared widely in literary journals in Australia, the USA, and Canada, and she has been awarded an Australia Council for the Arts grant. She is from Australia originally, and has also lived in Canada and Mexico.
