Timothy Flanders

Timothy Flanders was born in the mountains of northern Colorado to devout LDS parents. Raised in the faith since birth Timothy's entire existence revolved around The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Active in the priesthood, seminary and scouting, Timothy was an average Mormon youth. As a young man he went with his family to visit the Temple and perform baptism's for the dead.

A seventh generation Latter-day Saint, he descends from a long line of faithful members of the Church. One of the most interesting aspects of his Mormon heritage is a direct connection to the "Council of Fifty" through his great-great-great-grandfather who was a bodyguard to the Prophet Joseph Smith and a major in the Nauvoo Legion.

Hearing stories of the "Kingdom of God" and the City of Zion his entire life, Timothy dug into his family's history and began researching an aspect of Mormonism rarely talked about. Armed with family journals and personal diaries, he is ready to set the record straight.
