Tim has been interested in the Civil War since the age of six. He has been writing for several years and published his first book in 2011. His first book "Die Like Men" covers the Battle of Franklin. His second book "Never Smile Again" covers the Battle of Shiloh. Both are available at Books A Million and on Amazon.com. Tim's fourth book "Betrayed" is a fictional Civil War novel about a young soldier wounded in battle that recovers but has amnesia. His newest release "The Reckoning" is a bit different. It covers the history of the early american pioneers and the conflict between them and Native Americans. He has also authored a documentary about the history of the Civil War in Colbert County.
Tim is a former re-enactor and served as a captain with the 26th Alabama infantry. He has re-enacted several battles including, Bryce's Crossroads, The Battle of Franklin, Bentonville, Twin Rivers, Resaca, The Battle for Decatur, Winfield, Shiloh and numerous Camps of Instruction. Tim also enjoys collecting Civil War relics and books and most of all Confederate General autographs.
Tim is also the Lieutenant Commander of his local Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp 898, the William A. Johnston camp. He has spoken at various camp meetings all over Alabama and is a board member of Historical Truth 101. Tim has a personal library of over 400 books on the Civil War. He also uses the internet, other authors and historians and his local library as resources as well.
Tim has assisted other authors in researching material for their books and was involved with Wide Awake Films at Perryville. He has also acted as a guide for numerous family and friends on battlefield tours.
Tim spent 20 years working for Norfolk Southern Railway as an engineer riding the rails of the old Memphis & Charleston Railway, the backbone of the Confederacy.
