Heather Cavanaugh explores alternate worlds in urban fantasy, paranormal steampunk, and historical fiction. When not crafting dark, glamorous stories with a mythical spin, she likes to explore strange new places, read folklore, and search for the perfect French pastry. With a number of published fantasy roleplaying campaign settings and supernatural roleplaying credits to her name, she is a bona fide gamer geek. She is also deadly with a parasol while wearing 4" heels, but she won't discuss the fate of her victims.

A native to the Pacific Northwest, she lives with with her husband, a coterie of insane cats, a supermodel black lab, and far too much imagination for her own good.
