Mike Jansen

Mike has published flash fiction, short stories and longer work in various anthologies and magazines in the Netherlands and Belgium. Since 2012 he has published internationally and so far has over a hundred stories published in 12 languages.

Obviously he lives in the Netherlands, in Hilversum which is close to Amsterdam. He has won awards for best new author and best author in the King Kong Award in 1991 and 1992 respectively as well as an honorable mention for a submission to the Australian Altair Magazine launch competition in 1998. He won Fantastels and the Literary Prize of Baarn in 2012, Godijn SF/F Award in 2020 and the 'Mossy Statue' achievement award in 2021.

Since 2015 Mike also organizes the EdgeZero competition that publishes the best stories that were published or participated in contests in the previous year, as an attempt to get more stories into the public view.

His first English story collection is "Ophelia in My Arms"; the novel "The Failing God" appeared late 2013.
