Strat Goodhue

Strat was born and raised in Hawai’i. He graduated from Kalaheo High School in Kailua, and went to college in Hawai’i and California. He didn't have any real goals in life, and being a product of the government school system, he believed that people evolved by random chance from primordial goo on a big wet rock that happened to be hurling through space. He reached the logical conclusion that life has no meaning or purpose. Strat was an atheist but started having out-of-body experiences as a child, got into using crystals, interacting with spirits and even contacted UFO's. His life and his perspective on life were radically changed at the age of 30, however, when he became a follower of Jesus Christ.

Strat was a high-rise window cleaner for about 10 years. After receiving Christ, he sold his window cleaning business and spent nine months in the South Pacific nation of Tonga as a missionary. He returned to Hawai’i where he was eventually ordained and served as the Associate Pastor of a Calvary Chapel for five years.

Strat married his wife Doreen (also from Kailua, Hawai’i) in 1997. Strat and Doreen served with a missions organization in their U.S. office for 10 years. Strat served as the Coordinator in the Church Relations Department; speaking in churches across the U.S. He also served for 15 months as the US Executive Director of another missions organization that trains national pastors in India.

He has authored four books: How to Know the Will of God (a book about walking closely with God and being led by Him), The Place of Joy (a book about living the life of joy that God wants each of us to live), A Different Life (a book that shares how Strat came from a place of being an atheist having out-of-body experiences, using crystals, interacting with spirits and contacting UFO's, to a life of following Christ) and Time is Short! The End of the World As We Know It (an evangelistic book on the end times).

Strat has been pastoring The Ranch Church in Waimanalo, Hawai'i since 2022 and is giving away as many copies of Time is Short! as possible to help people to know that the Bible is true and that we really are living in “the last days.” For more information about free copies of the book, check out timeisshortministries on the web.
