Daniel Gabriel's published work includes a novel (Twice a False Messiah), a short story collection (Tales From the Tinker's Dam) and hundreds of stories and articles. In addition, he is editor of the forthcoming anthology of student writing, Punch at the Wild Tornado. While he is currently statewide Arts Program Director for COMPAS in Minnesota, he is also a lifelong vagabond traveler who has taken camelback, tramp freighter, and third class train through over 100 countries. Much of that ground has been covered with wife and road partner, Jude, and sons Alex and Evan. En route, he has worked as a sailor in the West Indies, a publican in Wales, a teacher in Spain, an apple picker in the Alps, and a roadie for Sly & the Family Stone, among other endeavors.
