Vera Goodman

Vera Goodman, B.Ed., M.A. is a teacher, reading consultant and professional speaker. She attended Seattle Pacific University and completed a Master's degree in Language Arts at University of Calgary. After a 30 year career as a teacher from grades one to nine, she became a reading consultant to parents.The parents she worked with urged her to put the teaching that had benefited them so much into a book. Her first book, Reading Is More Than Phonics! (also titled Simply Read!) has sold over 20,000 copies. She has since written a book on families writing together called, Simply Write! and a book against excessive homework called, Simply Too Much Homework! Vera has recently put her simple, easy-to-implement approach to coaching struggling readers, of all ages, on line as an e-learning course.
