Elyse Major

Author Elyse (Press) Major has been creative since childhood. She has been featured in, produced projects and written for many publications including Prairie Style, BOHO Style, and Classic Home, and has been a presenter at the Country Living Fair, Rhinebeck, NY and featured in USA Today HOME. She released her first two books Tinkered Treasures and Seaside Tinkered Treasures back-to-back in 2013 and 2014 (CICO Books), and is the co-author of a third book of DIY home furnishings released in the U.S. as I Modify IKEA (Ulysses Press), Australia as 50 Flatpack Hacks (Murdoch Books), France as Je customise Ikea (L'Inédite, 2017), and South Korean as Make Your Own IKEA (RIDIBOOKS, 2017). Additionally Elyse's branding efforts are featured in the book How to Show and Sell Your Crafts (St. Martin's Griffin)/Craft Show & Sell (Search Press, Ltd.). Elyse has written the blog tinkeredtreasures.com since 2008 where she shares about her work, offers simple projects, and shines a spotlight on favorite things and places. Throughout her work Elyse hopes to inspire others to enjoy making things without worries of perfection. She is Editor in Chief at Providence Media, the publisher of Rhode Island's premier lifestyle magazines, including Providence Monthly, East Side Monthly, The Bay Magazine, SO Rhode Island, and Hey Rhody.
