Pablo Birriel

Pablo Birriel has been a student of protection all of his life. His introduction to martial arts came in the manner of legendary martial artist Grand Master Hulon Willis of Ettrick Virginia. As he got older he was introduced to two native martial arts Puerto Rican Cuerpo Fuertes/ Quatro Rincones and a hybrid boxing style from his brother Jailhouse. He continued to train learning American Freestyle wrestling, Greco Roman wrestling and Western Boxing. Because of his martial arts training he was tapped to be a member of a protection detail at Virginia Commenwealth University for controversial speaker Jamil Al Amin ( H. Rap Brown) in 1992. It was after his experience that he realized he needed additional training to become the best in this field. He enrolled in the Advanced Executive Protection program at world renowned Executive Security International, graduating in 1994. He continued to move forward in his training eventually working with and indie record label in Richmond Virginia, Choice Records. In addition to many other duties he set up details for the companies various artists. He eventually worked with Stephon Ashton and Karl West two professionals that had worked for many entertainers like Boyz II Men and Latham Entertainment (Kings Of Comedy, and various other events). In 2000 he became a member of Living Waters Christian Fellowship where he became a member of its security team. He continued to serve until he became the Ministry Head of Security for LWCF. He is currently the Ministry Head of Security for Restoration Christian Church in Newport News Virginia. He has also received awards for his contributions to the martial arts. He is a member of the Masters Hall Of Fame, a very prestigious non-profit martial arts organization and most recently has become a writer for industry leader Personal Defense Network, which has a membership of their newsletter of over 280,000 people. He still resides in Newport News Virginia with his wife of over 31 years Maydean and travels throughout both the east and west coasts teaching his MOD philosophy.
