Budd Burton Moss

Budd Burton Moss was born in the shadows of Hollywood Boulevard in September 1930.

His father, Louis B. Moss, was a film editor at 20th Century Fox and his uncle, Sam Zimbalist, was a well-known producer at MGM, famous for the films Boom Town, Tortilla Flats, 30 Seconds Over Toyko, Mogambo, King Solomon's Mines, Quo Vadis and Ben Hur. With family connections like those,Budd was destined to be in showbiz.

He started out as an extra in the early 1950's,later meeting Sidney Poitier on the set of 'The Blackboard Jungle'. Budd worked on many motion pictures, including 'The Ten Commandments', 'The Egyptian', 'Time of Your Life', and 'Battleground'. He later married renowned film actress,Ruth Roman, joining her agency, General Artists Corporation. He spent the next fifty years as a talent agent, representing such stars as Rita Hayworth, June Allyson, Cyd Charisse, Sidney Poitier,Martin Landau, Carroll O'Connor, Shelly Winters, Dorothy McGuire, Barbara Eden, Larry Hagman,Mia Farrow,Tom Bosley and the former president of the Motion Picture Association, Jack Valenti.

In 2012,Mr. Moss wrote his memoirs - "And all I Got Was Ten Percent" - which are currently available as both a paperback and e-book on Amazon.com. He is now preparing Volume II of his memoirs, with an anticipated release date of early 2013.

In August 2012, Mr. Moss spoke at the Central Florida Film Festival and

in October 2012 made a guest appearance at the Gold Coast Film Festival in Great Neck, New York to discuss his book and career. He plans to continue his book speaking tour in 2013 at various television and film colleges in the United States.
