Lone Morch

Lone Mørch is an award-winning Danish author, photographer, and creative facilitator working at the intersection of embodiment, ecology, story, and cultural change. Through visual art, writing, and the facilitation of creative and nature-based inquiries, she explores how we are shaped by the stories we inherit about ourselves, and what becomes possible when those stories begin to loosen.

For more than three decades, Lone has worked internationally across Europe, the United States, and Asia in communication and media production. During her years living in San Francisco and Sausalito, she founded Lolo's Boudoir and photographed more than a thousand women. This profound inquiry into the female gaze, body representation, and personal power culminated in her acclaimed second book, EMBODY: Intimate Photographic Encounters with Women, as well as her TEDx talk, The Power of the Gaze.

She is also the author of the raw and transformative travel memoir, Seeing Red: A Woman's Quest for Truth, Power and the Sacred, which details her intense spiritual pilgrimage to Mount Kailas. Her evocative photography and writing have been featured internationally in InStyle, the San Francisco Chronicle, The Huffington Post, Barren Magazine, and Travellers’ Tales.Lone is a recipient of the Tanenbaum Award for Non-fiction from the San Francisco Foundation and the Silver Solas Award.

Her visual art continues to be exhibited globally, with recent 2026 exhibitions at Gimsinghoved Kunst- og Kulturcenter in Denmark and DARK GALLERY in Copenhagen. Today, she is based in the beautiful Southern Danish archipelago, where she writes, hosts creative events, and mentors others on walking their own wild edges.
