I fell in love with reading books when I was very young. Books were a way for me to escape the chaos of being the youngest of nine kids raised in a three bedroom house. When I have free time I don't turn to the television. My hand finds a book. Or a cereal box. Or anything with words. Ask anyone who knows me.

I'm in awe of authors who write hit after hit. Authors like Louie L'Amour, Elmore Leonard, Ken Follett, and Tom Clancy. They can use written words to suck the reader into the stories. Some of my favorite contemporary authors are Steven Konkoly, Matthew Bracken, and Max McCoy. My interests are wide, and with so many authors to choose from, I have a "to be read" list that spans pages.
