Shaun McKenna

Shaun McKenna is an award-winning British scriptwriter, lyricist, screenwriter and adaptor. He has written one non-fiction memoir about the creation of his first West End musical "Maddie And Us."

His West End musicals include "Maddie," "Lautrec," "La Cava" and the multi-award-winning "The Lord of the Rings." International musicals include the "Heidi" Trilogy, "Last Dance" and the forthcoming "Being Jack Cole."

For the BBC he was a core writer on "Home Front" (2014-2018) and has written many adaptations including "China Towns," "The Forsytes," "The Complete Smiley" and "Brother Dusty Feet." TV and film includes "Great West End Theatres," "Heartbeat," "The Crooked Man," "Like Father Like Son" and the forthcoming "Oscar's Boys."

He adapts the British thriller writer Peter James for the stage - "The Perfect Murder," "Dead Simple," "Not Dead Enough," "The House On Cold Hill" and the forthcoming ""Looking Good Dead."
