Bien Eli Nillos

Bien Eli Nillos is a medical doctor, writer and professor. As a medical doctor, he served the Philippine Department of Health as a Doctor to the Barrio (DTTB) in 2007-2010. He is currently a Program Associate of the Zuellig Family Foundation. As a writer, he was editor-in-chief of his alma mater's yearbook (University of Saint La Salle Class of 2002) and official school paper (University of Saint La Salle Integrated School Class of 1998, The Crossroads) and was a contributor to the same school's literary magazine (The Scribe). He also used to write a lifestyle column and an opinion column in local dailies in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. He self-published his first short story (Calypso) in 2011. As a professor, he used to teach Anatomy and Physiology for undergraduate students in the University of Saint La Salle and is still currently teaching Family and Community Medicine at the USLS College of Medicine.

In his high school years, he used to write and direct plays for the annual stageplay festivals in his school. Among the things he likes to write are poetry and short stories.
