Erik studied Educational psychology at the University of Amsterdam, his first year he graduated with highest honors and as best of his class.
Erik R. Robertson grew up as a child of diplomats in Tokio, Oslo, Abidjan, Amsterdam and New York.
There was much domestic brutal strife which affected him severely, a further 3-year stint at a gruesome boarding school after his parents’ divorce made matters worse.
Erik went from being an outgoing gregarious popular successful student to a scared, depressed, suicidal miserable teenagers, an academic’’ failure’’.
His first adult years were spent working in the garment business (rag trade) in NYC. He sold millions of dollars of goods, went bankrupt. And yes, NYC definitely was about sex, drugs and rock and roll. He openly writes about this.
He then was asked by a successful manager to start a Hollywood career in the movies.
Erik however declined, his inner urge to help people was stronger.
He returned to his native Holland; many arduous years followed as a trainee (the sorcerer’s apprentice) at a spiritual center.
Eventually he went back to university, graduated with honors and has since then started his own busy practice and his own successful company.
He co-authored a book with management guru Brian Tracy and also wrote Oops, the Parenting Handbook.
The biggest event of his life was his first trip to well-known Spiritual Master Sri Satya Sai Baba.
Erik his book is about his trials and tribulations, a lifelong battle with pain, depressions and loneliness, and his search for love,
Most of all it is a real humble compelling chronicle of, as the title says: ‘’ A touch of Gold .’’
