James Harold Carlson

After serving for forty years as a Christian minister (a U.S. Navy Chaplain during the Vietnam Era and a pastor in Hawaii, Colorado, and Michigan) I am pursuing a passion for writing historical fiction. My life experience has taught me much. I have traveled extensively throughout the world, earned a doctorate from a leading theological seminary, and addressed the critical issues of living with thousands of parishioners. I love reading books about anthropology, history, and theology. My wife Marilyn and I have two sons, a daughter, and eleven grandchildren. We presently make our home in Kentucky. There is no greater joy than discovering the ways of God and cultivating the spiritual dimension of living in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
