Sonia Olivia Williams

Sonia Williams, born in April 1972 in California, is an accomplished author, human services professional, and organizational leader dedicated to empowering others. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services with an emphasis in counseling, a Bachelor’s degree in Technology, and a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Organizational Leadership. In addition, Sonia is a SHRM-certified Human Resources professional with decades of experience in the human services field.

Throughout her career, Sonia has been a passionate advocate for ending domestic violence and supporting individuals facing behavioral and mental health challenges. She currently serves as a Human Resources Director, where she continues her mission of building, developing, and empowering people—work that is deeply reflected in both her writing and her professional life.

Sonia is the author of the Leadership series, beginning with Mastering the Mind by Mixing It Up: The Key to Becoming Your Own Greatest Leader! This book focuses on transforming thought patterns, encouraging readers to separate their own beliefs from external influences and take full control of their mindset, emotions, and reactions.

She followed with Maintaining My Mind and Moving Forward: The Key to Never Giving Up on the Leader Within, which guides readers on sustaining personal growth and progressing toward success and balance in all areas of life. Together, these works offer practical tools for cultivating resilience, clarity, and self-leadership.

Sonia was featured on Mixed Race Radio, where she discussed her first book and her work as a leader and advocate.
