Frankie Fulwood

Hello,

I'm Frankie--half Gypsy, half Gorgie--and these are my stories. I've been kicked and punched, kidnapped and beaten, shot and stabbed; not to mention being treated like a mug by more thoughtless birds than I care to remember. I've mixed with toffs and rogues, hard men and philosophers, and seen some of the most beautiful and horrifying things a man can see. I haven't always done the right thing and maybe I was never the bloke to take home to meet your mum, but I have always been loyal to my friends and a sucker for a pretty face.

I grew up with the great Gypsy tradition of tall tales told around a camp fire, sparkling eyes in eager faces as the storyteller captivated his or her audience. There were always cheers for the good guys and boos for the baddies as smoke and flames rose into the evening sky. So, these are my tales. I tell them to you as the great Romani voices of the past told theirs to me--but be warned! I have never been one to let the truth stand in the way of a good yarn...
