James W. Geiger

James W. (Jim) Geiger graduated from Stetson University’s Honors Program and Stetson Law School. He also studied political philosophy at American University and theology at Knox Seminary. He began his professional career attending the FBI Academy in Washington, D.C. and then served as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducting criminal investigations in Dallas, TX and doing national security work in Cleveland, OH. Jim’s government and law enforcement experience includes his election as the prosecuting attorney for Broward County, the second largest county in the State of Florida. He practiced law in Fort Lauderdale, FL for many years, has taught law at the community college and university levels, and now serves as a judge in arbitration cases for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). In 1988 he studied the interface between law, science, and theology as a Coolidge Colloquium Fellow in Cambridge Massachusetts. He is an experienced Bible teacher who has spoken in the US as well as in Russia and South America. He has also presented academic papers at a number of national and international conferences and published peer-reviewed articles online for the Metanexus Institute and the Porpoise Diving journal. He is the author of both The Gospel According to Relativity: Constant Value in a Changing World and Christianity and the Outsider: A Lawyer Looks at Justice and Justification.
