John J. Sweetman

John J Sweetman (1947-) has spent much of the last thirty years in the UK and in visiting Kenya to help local Christians develop strong communities. He teaches about the relevance of the Kingdom of God today in maintaining strong marriages and friendships as he encourages his hearers to build their relationships with God and each other.

He wrote his first book, “The Unleashed Church”, after receiving a series of visions which turned his understanding of “Church” upside down. It was first published in 2004 and became very popular. It has now been re-published, with much new material as “The Emerging Kingdom”.

John writes books which apply the teaching of the bible to our life today. They are full of rich experience of life and of God, useful as a daily meditation for anyone seeking to know God better. They are also full of understanding, helpful to anyone wanting to provide pastoral care for others.
