Mark Tedesco writes historical fiction that brings the ancient world to life — from the streets of imperial Rome to the courts of first-century Parthia.

His novels include I Am John, I Am Paul, a story of two Roman soldiers whose bond unfolds against the dawn of Christianity; The Dog on the Acropolis, set in classical Greece; and She Seduced Me: A Love Affair with Rome, a nonfiction portrait of the city that has drawn him back for decades.

With a lifelong passion for history and a background in education, he combines meticulous research with vivid storytelling to reimagine the ancient world and uncover the human struggles at its heart.

His forthcoming novel, Magi, is the culmination of years of study into first-century Parthian, Jewish, and Roman cultures.

Mark divides his time between California and Italy.
