Pam Robinson Porterfield

An educator by profession, Pam grew up in Huntsville, AL influenced by Rock 'n Roll, Rocket Science and the honest, earthy poetic realism of Rod McKuen, Leonard Cohen and Walt Whitman. Although her background was infused intensely with the performing arts, her home town influences nurtured a fascination for science, nature and the human condition. Eventually, this led her to a BA in Cultural Anthropology concentrating in Archaeology and a couple of MA's in Science and Education from the University of Central Florida. It is her love of language and lyrics that drives her desire to write and in doing so she strives to teach, learn and share. She now resides in her home state of Alabama with her Husband Jim and their 3 West Highland Terriers.
