Jason Heaton

After earning a bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Jason Heaton tried his hand at writing everything from poetry to technical manuals before finding his true calling in timepieces, travel and gear. He has covered a wide range of topics, from swimming from Alcatraz, to scuba diving the Meso-American Reef and bicycling across Sri Lanka. Jason’s technical writing background has also served him well as a leading watch journalist, contributing to Gear Patrol, Hodinkee, Men’s Journal, Revolution and AskMen. Jason prefers to get outside as much as he can, testing gear in some exotic corner of the world along the way. In his down time, he’s been known to enjoy a single malt Scotch at his home in Minneapolis.
