Geraldine Birch was born in Latin America, a product of American parents who were unafraid of new adventures, each making their way independently to a new country to earn a living. Their stories of Vaudeville and the oil fields of Venezuela inspired Geraldine to become a writer.
A former newspaper reporter and editor for both small and metropolitan newspapers in the Los Angeles area, Geraldine moved to Sedona, Arizona in 1991 where she worked as a reporter and editor for the Sedona Red Rock News and received a first place national award from the National Newspaper Association for her political column. She is the author of a romantic novel, Sedona: City of Refugees; a historical fiction, The Swastika Tattoo; and a memoir, Vision of a Happy Life.
