THE GIRL WHO LOVED BEANS ON TOAST (and six more): A version of one of the short stories featured in this collection first appeared in John King's publication VERBAL #10 (a small press publication dedicated to new fiction) alongside a short story by Irvine Welsh and an interview with Alan Warner. In John King's words regarding this collection of seven short stories: Read them and be moved.

LET THE CELERY DECIDE: Part 1: It's April 2012 and Chelsea are away in Barcelona for the second-leg of the European Cup semi-final. Walts and his dear pal Larry travel via Valencia for the big game. Part 2: Walts travels to the Final in Munich with his close friends George and Tall Paul. Three mates. Two days travelling. One ticket in the Chelsea section ends up in Walter's palm. Who goes to the biggest match in the Club's history?

POPPY: Harry and Frank are twins. Harry was born second, coming out clutching Frank's ankle. Their Mum Poppy passed away after child-birth, their Dad Saul is in prison for murder. After Harry is found unconscious in Richmond Park and brother Frank inadvertently meets a midwife in his local, the plot builds to a blistering conclusion.

STUCK ON YOU (One year in the life of a Chelsea supporter): Eat, drink, travel and laugh with Walts as he follows Chelsea over the 2014/15 season. He meets different characters along the way and ultimately celebrates with them as Chelsea win the league for the first time since 2010.

THE RED HAND GANG: On a career break in 2005, Walter sat at a computer in Queensland and wrote The Red Hand Gang (originally titled Never Eat Shredded Wheat) in six weeks. The book took over seven and a half years to edit! It follows the journey Walts and his two mates go on as they walk the River Thames path.

SHORTS! (and other short stories): Published by Gate17 in December 2013, this is a blend of fact and fiction. The book has twelve chapters in chronological order running from the year 2000 to 2012.

#ROE2RO: In September 2013, Walter drove from Roehampton in South London to the village of Soard in Romania and kept a diary. Here it is - raw and unedited. 100% of royalties go to the weekly feeding programme in the village. You buy a book, you feed two kids a hot meal.
