Linda Howe Steiger

A native of Ohio, Linda Howe Steiger has published more than 150 articles, research studies, and book reviews on topics ranging from public policy to literary criticism and poetry. In the mid 1990s she moved from Northern New Jersey to the San Francisco Bay Area where she was appointed Director of the Technology Transfer Program at the University of California Berkeley’s Institute of Transportation Studies. Although life at Berkeley was often too busy to do much creative writing, she finally got to work on the Morgan Kendal books after her retirement along with teaching classes on memoir writing and re-starting her long dormant poetry. She is a voracious reader who also loves working in her big low water native plant garden, and taking hundreds of photographs that document her travels around the world with her husband. She continues to live in the beautiful Bay Area and is a member of Sisters in Crime.
