Heather H-J Heaton

After sailing to Mexico and the South Pacific while living on her 30’ boat for more than four years her interest in the environment was well established. Upon Heather’s return to shore, she completed her academic art and science degrees which led her to work as an outdoor interpretive naturalist and multimedia specialist for the National Forests. “This provided me with a better understanding of nature’s inner workings, which ranged from volcanic eruptions, forest fires, and flora and fauna to the people who influenced or were influenced by the natural world. These experiences enabled me to unravel nature’s mysteries for others in a clear and enjoyable way through my ‘The Secret Life of' book series.” Today she continues to explore the natural world and still finds it rewarding to write on environmental issues around the globe.
