Roberta M. Gubbins is a lawyer who writes. After practicing law for a number of years, she traded her briefcase for a laptop and took up the world of letters. Now she helps lawyers and law firms with their marketing writing needs, ghostwriting blog posts, newsletter articles, biographies, case studies, or ... Always writing with the reader in mind, she translates legalese into plain English, creating informative and interesting articles that future and existing clients can understand and trust.
She is also the editor of Briefs, Ingham County Bar Association e-newsletter and The Mentor, e-newsletter of the State Bar of Michigan Master Lawyers Section.
Her e-book, "Why do We do That? Commentary on Lawyers and the Law," a collection of essays, is now available on Amazon and other e-reader publishers. Using a pen name, Alexandra Hawthorne, she writes cozy mysteries featuring lawyers with extra-human powers and is completing a memoir of her year in Eastern Europe.
Roberta lives in Mason, Michigan with two aloof cats, one Bichon with an attitude problem, assorted fish and a treading water mortgage. She can be reached at roberta@robertamgubbins.com
