Adrienne Vaughan writes spell-binding, page-turning romantic suspense and she has just been shortlisted for two international author awards.

Her novel − Mystery of the Midnight Madonna − is shortlisted in the Historical Novel Society’s (HNS) ‘First Chapter’ Award; an annual international prize, that this year had a record 650 books from 22 countries entered.

And her latest book − Legacy of Secrets – described as ‘an enchanting dual timeline story with a magical twist’ − is a finalist in the Romantic Novelists’ Association’s ‘Romantic Novel of the Year Award’ – also a record year, with over 500 books entered.

“It’s a real honour to be a finalist in either of these awards, but to be shortlisted in both is fantastic, especially in the company of so many incredible authors. I’m thrilled,” said Adrienne.

“These nominations have ignited an exciting new phase in my author career. Mystery of the Midnight Madonna is my first historical novel, and the HNS shortlisting has given me the confidence to continue to develop my work in this area. While Legacy of Secrets is a romance featuring a time-slip element, another genre I find fascinating. I’m very happy to say, I’m going to be busy.”
