Raven Rollins

Raven Rollins is an author of three true crime books and the voice behind the podcasts Sirens | Southern True Crime and Dreadfully Yours: Conversations with Dark Storytellers.

Known for her fearless pursuit of the truth and deep empathy for victims and their families, Raven specializes in cold cases, suspicious deaths, and forgotten crimes, particularly those rooted in the American South like her home state of Oklahoma. Her non-fiction writing blends meticulous reporting with emotional storytelling, giving voice to the silenced and shining light on cases long ignored.

Raven’s non-fiction work has reignited public interest in several unsolved cases, drawing attention from regional media and law enforcement. Her books, including "Sins of the South: Three Oklahoma Cold Cases" and "Allegedly: True Crime from Pontotoc County, Oklahoma," are praised for their investigative depth, compassionate tone, and narrative style. "This Is True Crime: A Guide For Becoming An Advocate For Justice," draws on all her knowledge and experience to empower victim family members and true crime creators to keep cases alive while keeping ethics and advocacy at the forefront of storytelling.

In the Fall of 2025, Raven's book "Allegedly" was selected as the course textbook for East Central University's new course "Narratives of Justice." It also won 2nd place in nonfiction/true crime at the Bookfest Awards, and was a second-place finalist in the 2025 American BookFest 22nd Annual Best Book Awards in the true crime/nonfiction category.

In May 2026, Raven made her fiction debut with "That Which Separates Man," an emotionally grounded outbreak thriller blending medical realism, survival horror, and dystopian fiction. The novel marked the beginning of the Apocryphal Series, which she plans to continue in future installments.

Beyond true crime, Raven has a deep love for horror, supernatural fiction, and emotionally driven storytelling. Her influences include Stephen King, Riley Sager, and Simone St. James, and she is especially drawn to stories where the greatest monsters are often painfully human.

Raven resides in Oklahoma with her husband Rick, son, English bulldog, Shih-Tzu, and Tortie cat.
