My childhood was diverse and interesting; Catholic school balanced with a mother who owned her own yoga/teacher training business and who was deemed a householder Swami in the Jain tradition by Āchārya Sushil Kumar, a Jainist monk. Exposure to meditation, energy healers, aura & tarot readers, and a plethora of other modalities was commonplace, and it was in my childhood that I learned about intuition and the ethereal world, and I’ve been a seeker ever since! My desire to marry the different aspects of myself has been an incredible journey.
Professionally, I work in corporate administration, hold a BA in social psychology, and certifications in personality inventories that allow individuals to understand how they perceive themselves, the world, their decision-making, and workplace performance.
Though my aspirations have rarely matched my actual path, I’ve resigned to go along for the ride because at the end of the day, I realize I’m not driving the bus. What I have discovered is that the only time I’m me, the only time I feel defined, is when I’m tapping on my keyboard or scribbling thoughts on sticky notes. When I close my eyes, the “me” I see is a storyteller, so whenever I hit a road bump, I tell myself, “Eh, why not? It’ll be a good story.”
