Kendra Spencer

Growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio Kendra Spencer showed her ambivert roots early. Like most kids growing up in the 90s she spent an AMPLE amount of time outside. However, when she was indoors and during the summer she would lug a duffel bag full of books to and from the library. She first loved to read about anything animals, wolves and big cats primarily, which is probably the reason she now is addicted to books about shifters or anything paranormal. A true animal lover at heart, she is. In middle school her world turned upside down. Still an avid reader of anything that caught her attention she started to notice how the characters in the books she was reading didn't act like anyone around her or herself. One day a classmate handed her No Disrespect by Sistah Souljah. From there she was introduced to the works of Eric Jerome Dickey, more of Sistah Souljah, Omar Tyree and then Zane. These writers spoke her language and culture. The fictional works of those authors exploded her confidence to write and depict her environment, to create a world one could escape in, that she escaped to when writing. Kendra Spencer's goals never changed. She aims to be as brash and in your face as Sistah Souljah, to be as creative and business savvy as Omar Tyree, to continually strive to be better than the last book like Eric Jerome Dickey, and to be as sexually poignant as the Queen of Erotica Zane.

Kendra Spencer still resides in Ohio with her family and bully breed dogs, Keenan and Rebel. She is also a 2017 graduate of the Ohio Media School. Upon graduation she started her own publishing company, Blaque Diamond Ink which operates on a full media scale.
