I have a life-long interest in learning, and a particular training in history, philosophy and science, which have allowed me to work in many areas. After a 20 year-career in international relations, economics and development policy, I entered the natural/alternative healthcare field, which I had been studying after using alternative medicine (homeopathy and nutrition) to restore my health from a debilitating chronic condition (conventional medicine had nothing to offer or only made my condition worse). Once healthy again, I decided to study more about the history, philosophy and science of healthcare.

I have now been practicing for two decades and have acquired extensive clinical experience, particularly relating to complex and chronic cases, in the application of a comprehensive system of medicine called Heilkunst (Homeopathy.com and Heilkunst.com), part of an even more comprehensive system called Romantic Healthcare (RomanticHealthcare.com), both of which have been put together out of my extensive research and studies, drawing on my academic training and interest in history, philosophy and science. My work led to me to establish a comprehensive study program to train others, by means of a formal college (see RomanticHealthcare.com).

As an important part of health is mind and consciousness, in particular our relationship to things that go beyond the sense-based existence, I have also undertaken research on Western philosophy and science, including scriptural studies, the Bible being the main foundational document of Western culture, but largely seen now as in opposition to scientific inquiry and understanding, rather than as supportive and even integral to a true understanding of ourselves and the world around us. Health involves the mind as well as the body.
