I grew up in an area with no electricity, no running water and no phones. I still live in an area with no electricity, no running water and no phones.

I have worked as a Chef, a Goldsmith/Jeweler, a heavy equipment Operator, a Registered Hunting Guide, a Taxidermist and a house Builder. I am an Artist and a Writer. In all my spare time, I cut firewood, raise a garden and read.

There is a fairly complete autobiography for me at the back of my cookbook, "Don't Use A Chainsaw In The Kitchen."
