Lynda Styles is a Young Adult Author hailing from Salem, Massachusetts. Always a lover of a good scary story, she didn't have to search far for dark influences to spark her writer's imagination having grown up in such a remarkable place.
Styles has written several short stories and news articles over the years, but her first novel, On Gallows Hill, was released in October on Kindle.
Styles has a BA in English and Education from the University of Maine and now lives on the coast of Maine with her husband, two wonderful children, and a basset hound named Millie. She has worked as a teacher for several years and for the last seven she has operated an educational child care, working 60 hours per week and writing at nap time. It took dedication, a passionate love of writing, and extreme tenacity, but after five years Styles received a publishing contract offer and chose instead to self publish, wanting to keep her rights and see where it would take her in this, the new wild west of publishing.
Styles still visits Salem on a regular basis and plans to spend Halloween 2013 there doing book signings and ghost tours. She writes dark Young Adult novels that explore the supernatural, what makes people tick, and the many facets of the human mind.
