Mike Harder

For nearly four decades, Mike Harder has devoted himself to one central passion: helping leaders discover and implement Jesus' approach to making disciples. That passion has taken him across six continents, training thousands of pastors and church planters in reproducible, Gospel-centered strategies. It's what drives him to write—to make the transformative power of Jesus' disciplemaking model accessible to leaders hungry to build movements, not just programs.

Born in West Berlin, Germany, Mike grew up in the New York City area. His Christian faith took root during his teenage years. He graduated from Messiah College and pursued graduate theological education.

Mike began his ministry career on a church-planting team, then served 25+ years as a youth pastor. In 2011–2012, he led a Philadelphia multi-campus church. Since 2019, he has served as President of Concentric Global, equipping ministry leaders to develop disciplemaking movements.

His teaching combines rigorous biblical scholarship with practical wisdom gained through decades of ministry. He is passionate about recovering the organic, reproducible patterns of spiritual multiplication modeled by Jesus.

Mike and his wife Teresa have been married since 1988 and live in the Philadelphia suburbs with three grown children. They worship at New Story Church in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, where Mike serves as an elder. He enjoys hiking, biking, and attending lectures at the Union League of Philadelphia.
