Alex Nichols was born in a Mississippi River town, a speck on the map famous for producing a certain Gen X actress with a fondness for five-fingered discounts. She holds degrees from Smith College and The Graduate Theological Union and currently lives in San Francisco. Her books are often inspired by housesitting gigs and childhood memories of communes.
